Licencias aeroportuarias
Las licencias aeroportuarias se expiden tanto para aeropuertos de uso público como privado. Los requisitos para la concesión de licencias y el registro varían en función de la utilización del aeropuerto.
La División de Servicios Aeroportuarios proporciona recursos y orientación en nombre del Departamento de Aviación de Virginia.

Licencias y Registro de Aeropuertos de Uso Privado
Los aeropuertos de uso privado, helipuertos o áreas de aterrizaje dentro de las cinco millas de un aeropuerto de uso público deben solicitar una licencia de área de aterrizaje de uso privado. Un proceso único proporciona la revisión de la solicitud de una persona para construir una instalación de uso privado en una propiedad privada. No se cobra ninguna tasa por conceder licencias a un aeropuerto de uso privado.
Si un aeropuerto de uso privado, helipuerto o área de aterrizaje no está a menos de cinco millas de un aeropuerto de uso público, el propietario debe registrar el aeropuerto de uso privado con el DOAV. No se cobra ninguna tasa por registrar un aeropuerto de uso privado.
